Cultural Events

Thanks to our Donors two of our Free2Rise girls, Olivia Gadson and Makya Stansbury were able to attend the DC Pearls III Foundation/Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Rho Mu Omega Chapter Debutante Cotillion with CEO, Brenda L. Silvils. The Debutante Ball is a rite of passage for young ladies. The girls attend the Debutante event to enhance their personal, educational, cultural, spiritual and social lives as young ladies. Free2Rise is pleased that we were able to introduce our girls to the Debutante experience.

Travel Experiences

Free2Rise 9th graders, Ricquel Sumler, Kiyara Brown, Jeniaya Amos,Tyelise Long, Makya Stansbury, Hayley Updike, Olivia Gadson, and Sequoia Thomas traveled to Delaware and Philadelphia with Program Director, Kisha L. Webster for tours and events.

Free2Rise Girls traveled to Delaware to attend the Delaware State University 2015 Spring Open House and annual Alumni Ambassadors Outreach Day and toured the DSU campus on April 11, 2015. They also traveled to Philadelphia, PA to attend the Drexel University College Tour.
